[OOC] DECISIONS IN ME1 + ME2.

The Mass Effect series operates very close to a choose your own adventure. A lot of the decisions you make have an overall impact to the game's storyline at one point or another. The route and path chosen for this Commander Shepard moved in between being a paragon and a renegade depending on which situation she came across. Paragade strives to do what is best for the greater good but has little to no qualms with blowing off a few kneecaps along the way.

Previous romances will be discussed with players beforehand.

ORIGIN: EARTHBORN/SOLE SURVIVOR
Jane Shepard was born on Earth, but she never knew her parents. A child of the streets, she learned to live by her wits and guts, surviving in the hidden underbelly of the megatropolises of humanity's homeworld. Eager to find a better life, she had joined the Alliance military when she came of age. She then volunteered for an expedition to Akuze: a lush world on the outskirts of Alliance space that had suddenly dropped out of contact. Arriving on the surface her patrol found the settlement intact, but no survivors.

At nightfall, the thresher maws struck - mindless abominations of teeth and tentacles that rose up from beneath the earth. Constant gunfire couldn't drown out the shrieks of Shepard's fellow soldiers as they were dragged down to a gruesome death. Fifty marines died on Akuze; Shepard was the only one to make it back to the landing zone alive - or so she thought. A monument on the planet commemorates the massacre, a grim reminder of the price humanity must pay as they spread throughout the stars.

MASS EFFECT

MAJOR DECISIONS:
» Recruited all party members. The more help, the merrier. She even allowed Wrex to finish his bounty on Fist.
» Spared the Rachni Queen's life. The Rachni Queen has one chance to show Shepard she will make good on her promise or Shepard will pay a visit.
» Convinced Urdnot Wrex to back down and stay loyal on Virmire. She managed to talk sense into him with her renegade persuasion.
» Sacrificed Ashley Williams on Virmire. Both were good soldiers, but Ashley volunteered first.
» Saved the Council during Sovereign's attack on the Citadel. She begrudgingly understood the Council's important influence. Humanity wasn't alone anymore.
» Chose David Anderson for the seat on the Council. He was a soldier, not a politician. The thirst for power would never get in the way of humanity's best interests.

MISC:
» Shoved a gun near Conrad Verner's face. She wanted to scare away Conrad so that he wouldn't get himself killed.
» Intimidated the Alliance to return Nirali Bhatia's body back to her husband.
» Hostages rescued in Bring Down the Sky DLC. She believed Balak will get what is coming to him eventually.
» Completed all sidequests to support Zhu's Hope. Saved all of the colonists and released Shiala to become a colonist herself after defeating the Thorian.
» Convinced Helena Blake to disband the crime syndicate.
» Assisted Giana Parasini with arresting Administrator Anoleis.
» Shot the scientist after reuniting with Corporal Toombs, a fellow survivor from Akuze. She used her status as Spectre to keep him from being prosecuted.
» Threatened Finch to stay quiet with his blackmail before letting him go. She could not bring herself to kill him after her history with the Reds.
» Encouraged Garrus to be more paragon, mostly for his father.
» Ended up killing Lord Darius after being sent for negotiations. Turns out Admiral Hackett expected the outcome.
» Hung up on the Council during briefings. A lot. Their condescending tone and disregard angered Shepard but then she made a game out of it with Joker.

MASS EFFECT 2
MAJOR DECISIONS:
» Recruited all party members, including Kasumi Goto and Zaeed Massani.
» Exchanged harsh words with the Council after their denial about the Reapers, but took their offer for her Spectre status. It was the least they could do.
» Saved the entire crew from the Collectors. The instant she learned about what the Collectors had done, the Normandy was off through the Omega-4-Relay.
» No one is left behind; everyone survived the suicide mission. Loyalties were secured beforehand with a lot of careful planning and preparation.
» Destroyed the Collector base and quit Cerberus. It wasn't below Shepard to use them for their resources. She could never trust the Illusive Man.
» Released David from Cerberus and Project Overlord. Damn you Cerberus and your stupid experiments.

MISC:
» Encouraged Kasumi to destroy the greybox and its data. It was Keiji Okuda's final wish.
» Killed Morinth with Samara. A psychotic Ardat-Yakshi running around? No thanks. Morinth was beyond saving.
» Stopped Garrus from executing Sidonis. Sidonis was already paying the ultimate price for his sin. She did not want Garrus' conscience to suffer because of him.
» Prevented Tali's exile from the Flotilla after yelling at them. To her surprise it actually worked. She also asked them to reconsider their war against the Geth.
» Convinced Mordin to not kill Maelon but decided to keep Maelon's data from his experiments with the genophage. It could come in handy one day.
» Left Jacob's father in the hell he had created. You reap what you sow.
» Rescued Miranda's sister. She also nudged Miranda to speak with her sister.
» Spared Aresh from Jack's wrath before she blew up the facility sky high.
» Disarmed Kolyat and reunited Thane with his son.
» Destroyed the Geth heretics while assisting Legion. The risk was too high after the heretics chose to willingly align with the Reapers.
» Threatened to leave Zaaed behind in flames after choosing to save the workers instead of fulfilling Zaaed's vendetta. That got his attention quickly and Shepard allowed him back.
» Lied to Conrad about the undercover "officer" he was working with after shooting him in the foot. Hopefully NOW he will stop getting into trouble.

All decisions from Mass Effect 3 are on hold.
